Remember to seek care when you need it
Thank you for staying home to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. Please remember that routine and emergency health needs don’t stop during a COVID-19 outbreak, and delaying care can be harmful to your health.
You may have concerns about visiting a medical facility right now.
We want to assure you that our hospitals and physician practices are taking every precaution to protect you and our team members.
Steps we’re taking include:
Screening all patients and team members for COVID-19 symptoms, including temperature checks, before entry.
Requiring masks for all patients and team members entering our facilities. We will provide a mask if you don’t have one.
Social distancing in our patient waiting areas. We’re maintaining a lower number of in-person patient appointments at any given time so that waiting areas have more open space.
Limiting visitors in our facilities. For surgeries and procedures, we’re allowing one companion visitor. Visitors are not allowed for inpatients, except for end-of-life situations.
Ensuring well patients receive care separately, whether it’s a designated area or time of day.
Cleaning exam rooms and equipment after each visit using our recommended protocol.
Virtual care also is available across many medical specialties – for routine well and sick visits. If you have a Prisma Health provider, let that person be your guide for determining the most appropriate way to get care.
