M. Wes Love, MD, is an Alabama native who has been in practice since 2020. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed both his general surgery residency and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He is a firm believer that patient education is the key to patient success, urging patients to engage and involve themselves in their own care while developing an understanding of their disease processes. He is board certified in general surgery and has specialty training in both advanced hernia repair, foregut surgery, and bariatric surgery in open, laparoscopic, and robotic platforms. He has particular research interests in complex abdominal wall reconstruction and bariatric surgery. In addition to spending time with his wife and two sons, he enjoys writing and recording music and videos in his home studio.
