Roger H. Gower, MD, is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and has been with Greenville OB/GYN Associates since 1982. He received his undergraduate education at Emory University in Atlanta and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and then returned to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he completed his residency training in OB/GYN in 1982. He then returned to Greenville and joined Greenville OBGYN associates. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Gower has served as president of the Greenville Memorial Hospital medical staff and been a board member of the American Red Cross, the Upstate History Museum and the United Way campaign. He volunteers at the Greenville free medical clinic and is an active member of Westminster Christian Church where he is a former elder. He serves as Vice Chairman for Quality in OB/GYN at Prisma Health and has served as interim department Chair. He enjoys hiking, biking, occasionally golf, reading and writing. He is married to Martha and is the proud father of four children and seven grandchildren.

Everything was great! Dr. Gower is fantastic!
I was treated so nicely and very grateful for my doctor. He's so kind, listened closely to my concerns, and informed me of his concerns as well. Just wish I could've had my ultrasound same day instead of waiting 4 weeks. I'm nervous about my pain and discomfort and am anxious for answers. I am confident that I am in good hands and very happy to be a patient here.

Dr. Gower, his med student, and his nurse were all respectful, showed great respect, and spent time listening and speaking with me. They were all friendly and engaging. I recommend this office to anyone I can.
All was great so can't think of anything to do different.
My intake nurse did not seem to have a real command on my prior medical condition, but I think she was new and maybe hadn't had time to review my chart before she began questioning me.
There's no areas for improvement, Dr Gower is so kind and caring. I really appreciate that the office always sees me promptly when I need care.
I did not care for waiting 15-20 minutes in a room with no clothes on until the doctor came into the examination room. That's too long.
