Johan Hernandez, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Howard University and his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic, and completed his family medicine internship and residency at Prisma Health Richland Hospital. Dr. Hernandez is an assistant professor of family and preventive medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and is fluent in both Spanish and English. His special interests include geriatrics and diabetes. He enjoys providing quality care to families and being their advocate in times of need.
