Dr. Guichard earned his medical degree and his PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He also completed two fellowships at the University of Alabama at Birmingham: one in cardiovascular disease and the other in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
